Photocopying
A study revealed that many people found comfort in copying the original material and then using them at their own leisure. This is not possible with a Reference book from the library. A photocopied page allows the owner to underline, scratch, write so that he highlights his idea visually.

Gramophone Record Library
The Library has a collection of gramophone records in various categories such as Caribbean music, orchestral, spoken word, popular music and so on. Library members are eligible to become members of the Gramophone Record Library at a stated fee.

The bookmobile provides a critical service to citizens in the outlying districts where no other library services are located.
Lending and Reference
Patrons are allowed to borrow certain books to take home to read at their own leisure while other books are provided for use only within the library.
Reader’s Advisory
Personalised assistance is provided by library staff to aid patrons in locating relevant reading and research material.
Inter-Library Loans
There is an arrangement with other libraries to borrow books for the use of patrons if the required books are not available at a particular library.
Prison Service
The National Library tries to promote literacy to everyone, even to those incarcerated, therefore books are taken periodically for lending purposes.
Request Service
Patrons are allowed to place reservations on library material that may not be available at the time when they are needed. The patrons are then contacted by library staff as soon as the material becomes available for their use.
